Desolate streets, urban environments, and neighborhoods at night: Nighty night investigates visibility, invisibility, and the character of light. With emphasis on the night environment, Nighty Night is photographed in Chicago, Illinois and Los Angeles, California. Both being places of residence, my belonging to space is in question, split between both locations my presence is in conversation with lights ephemeral presence to the night landscape. Where is light seen and where is it not? What role does light have as an emotional bystander in the night landscape and who is this accessible to?
